A Wise County resident who was shot Thursday morning after apparently surprising two burglars in his home in the New Fairview area, is out of the hospital. David Rigsbee, who suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm, was treated at Texas Health Harris Hospital in Fort Worth. He will be asked to look at a photo lineup Friday as deputies continue to search for possible suspects. According to investigators, Rigsbee had been working on his car outside his home when he left the house to test-drive it. When he returned, the back door was open and as he went inside he was assaulted by two men, one black and one hispanic. In the ensuing scuffle, one of them picked up a gun and shot Rigsbee, then both suspects fled, leaving several guns behind. Crime scene investigators were in the house until late Thursday evening gathering evidence, and Sheriff David Walker said they hoped to know more Friday after interviewing Rigsbee and reviewing all the evidence.
