An 82-year-old man was found on the floor of his home bound and gagged Friday night. Wise County Sheriff David Walker said a neighbor in the 1400 block of New Hope Road near Briar had not seen his neighbor, Marvin Zimmerman, for a few days and went to check on him around 10 p.m. The neighbor looked through the window and saw the man on the floor. Medics took Zimmerman to a Fort Worth hospital where he remained in serious condition late Monday, Walker said. Investigators believe the man may have been tied up for several days before he was discovered. Walker said no arrests have been made, but the investigation continues. Officers have talked to family members and acquaintances to see who might be responsible. It is unknown if it was part of a robbery. More information will be posted as it is available.
