A home on County Road 2315 off U.S. 380, east of Decatur, was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon. Fire departments from Decatur and Greenwood/Slidell responded to the blaze around 2 p.m. and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the single-story, brick building. Despite their best efforts, the home was a total loss. No one was home at the time the fire was discovered, and no injuries were reported. Two dogs inside the home made it out safely. The home is owned by Tony and Connie Redwine, and Duane and Brenda Martin were living in the house. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
