ALMOST YOUTH FAIR TIME – The Wise County Sheriff’s Posse Youth Fair Rodeo is 7:30 tonight and Saturday at the posse grounds. For more information, call (940) 427-4701. The Wise County Youth Fair begins at 8 a.m. Monday. Longhorn cattle will arrive 3-6 p.m. Sunday.

RIVALRIES ON DIAMOND – District 7-3A rivals Decatur and Bridgeport will meet tonight in baseball and softball in Decatur. The softball game starts at 7. The baseball game will start at 7:30. Paradise squads will head to Boyd with softball starting at 5 and baseball 7:30.

7-3A TENNIS – Players from Decatur and Bridgeport will try to earn regional tennis berths today at the 7-3A tournament in Lake Worth. The early matches begin at 9 a.m.

DECATUR 5K - The Decatur 5K, benefiting the Jackie Murphree Scholarship Fund, will be April 7. The 5K race and 1-mile fun run begin in Downtown Decatur. For information and to register, go to www.Decatur5K.com.

SCOUTING FOR FOOD – Cub Scout Pack 115 will be Scouting For Food 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Brookshire’s in Bridgeport. All donations benefit WARM.

FFA PLANT SALE – Decatur FFA will host a plant sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Exxon on U.S. 81/287 and Farm Road 51. Bedding plants, baskets, color bowls, annuals and perennials grown by students will be sold. Cash and checks will be accepted.

COOKING FOR CHARITY – Wise Electric Coop is cooking briskets for various charities. Order by April 4. Briskets will be ready on April 6 and can be picked up from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. that day. For more information, call (940) 627-2167.

CATFISH DINNER – The Knights of Columbus will serve a catfish dinner at 5:30 tonight at ABVM Catholic Church in Decatur. Cost will be $10 per plate. ABVM is located at 1305 Deer Park Rd.

QUILT SHOW- The Decatur Woman’s Club Quilt Show is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the Decatur Church of Christ. Tickets are $15 with lunch, $5 just to view the display. All proceeds benefit community projects. Raffle tickets, $1 each or six for $5 are available from any woman’s club member or at Patti’s Hair Parlor in Decatur.

RELAY BAKE SALE – Team Wise for Relay for Life is having a bake sale 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the lobby of Wise Regional Health System. Proceeds benefit Wise County Relay for Life.

BENEFIT GARAGE SALE – Wise County Relay for Life’s S.W.A.T.T. team is sponsoring a garage sale 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, April 6, at 259 County Road 3133 in Decatur. Several families are involved in the sale. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

GRAZING MEETING – A Grazing Management for Riparian Areas meeting is April 9-10 at the Decatur Civic Center (April 9) and at the Paul Wood Ranch in Boonsville (April 10). RSVP to the Decatur USDA-NRCS office by April 2 by calling (940) 627-2268, ext. 3.

SPECIAL NEEDS BASEBALL – Registration for Wise County Special Needs Baseball, open to children three years old to adults, is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Decatur and Bridgeport public libraries. FUNERALS – Service for Samuel Dennis Vincent, 82, of Boyd is 2 p.m. today at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd with burial at Boyd Cemetery.

FUNERAL for Thomas Edward Tuggle, 68, of Newark is 2 p.m. Saturday at Christian-Hawkins. Family visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

FUNERAL for Annette Gayler, 75, of Alvord is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Alvord Church of Christ with burial at Perryman Cemetery near Forestburg. Family visitation is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

GRAVESIDE service for Jimmie Jenkins, 80, is 1 p.m. Saturday at Boyd Cemetery. Christian-Hawkins is handling arrangements.

SERVICE for Eddie King, 68, of Bridgeport is pending at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
