For the second time in less than a week, a bomb threat led to the evacuation of Decatur High School this morning. Like last Tuesday’s incident, a threatening message was found in a bathroom. The building was evacuated around 9 a.m. and Decatur police and fire departments responded to search the building. Nothing was found, and students returned to class around 11 a.m. “It’s getting old,” Police Chief Rex Hoskins said. “Whoever is doing this needs to realize that it’s a third degree felony.” Students with special needs were taken to nearby Carson Elementary. Students were also moved to the ag building, field house and the Carson Elementary gym due to the cold temperatures this morning. Anyone with information on who is responsible for the threats should call the Decatur Police Department at (940) 627-1500.
