Two men were seriously injured in a car accident north of Alvord Wednesday afternoon. Dillon Coslow, 19, was driving southbound on U.S. 287 when his Dodge pickup veered to the left for unknown reasons just prior to crossing the bridge over County Road 1590.
DPS Trooper Tim Murphy said the pickup ran through the guardrail, down the embankment, across the street and up the embankment on the other side before coming to a rest in the median of 287.
Coslow and his passenger, Bobby Brown, 45, of Fort Worth were flown to John Peter Smith Hospital with “traumatic injuries,” according to the police scanner. The southbound lanes of traffic on 287 were rerouted to the service road, but the highway was reopened just before 4 p.m.
