Man injured in four-wheeler crash

A 33-year-old man was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth early Friday morning after a four-wheeler accident on Sunflower Road in Paradise.
Matthew Oyster of Paradise was heading eastbound on Sunflower Road approximately one mile-and-a-half from Farm Road 2123 when he crashed the 2009 Honda TRX-700 shortly before 2 a.m.
“He was driving too fast on the road and wasn’t able to make a curve,” said DPS spokesperson Lonny Haschel. “He rolled the four-wheeler and walked to a nearby farmhouse to ask for help.”
Haschel said Oyster was not wearing a helmet and was operating a vehicle not permitted for road use.
Emergency personnel transported Oyster to the Paradise High School football stadium to meet the medical helicopter.
“He was flown to JPS with serious injuries,” Haschel said.
The crash is still under investigation.
