Tom Bean sweeps Paradise

By Richard Greene | Published Wednesday, May 9, 2012

After winning game one 7-1 Thursday, the Tom Bean Lady Tom Cats came back Saturday to complete the sweep of the Paradise Lady Panthers with a 5-0 win.

The loss ended the Lady Panthers’ season at 21-9. Paradise finished second in District 10-2A and won a bi-district title against City View.

Paradise couldn’t solve Tom Bean pitcher Rachel Jones Saturday. She limited the Lady Panthers to a pair of singles, striking out seven and walking one.

Paradise did have five runners reach base on errors but couldn’t score.

Tom Bean’s Sarah Henderson drove in two runs against Paradise pitcher Laura Wilson, who took the loss.
