The running back was responsible for 274 of Alvord’s 332 total offensive yards. His performance was enough to give the Bulldogs their first district win of the season over the rival Bearcats.

Randall racked up 207 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. Henrietta had trouble matching his speed all night. He average 7.66 yards per carry. Randall ran out of the Wildcat on several snaps and even managed to be the teams leading passer, he had a perfect completion rate, too, connecting on 4-of-4 passes for 67 yards. Three of those were short throws up the middle to Casen Baker who turned them into big gains.

Henrietta struck first with a 23-yard field goal late in the first quarter by Jameson Dowell. But it was the last time the scoreboard would glow in their favor on the warm November night.

Randall scored early in the second quarter with a four-yard plow to paydirt, but Jose Luna’s extra point was blocked. Alvord took a 6-3 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Almost eight minutes into the second half, Randall struck again on a three-yard dash. His attempt at a two-point conversion was stopped short, though.

Henrietta put themselves back in a position to take the lead early in the fourth when quarterback Conner Fletcher connected on a six-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Coleman.

Some big defensive stops by the Bulldogs did just enough to preserve the win.

Alvord moves to 1-3 in district play and 2-7 on the season. Henrietta fell to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in district. Next week Alvord travels to Wichita Falls to take on City View.
