Slidell hounds Panthers for last minute win

The Slidell Greyhounds edged the Paradise Panthers Monday, 44-43. Slidell (6-0) was led by Gracjan Pietryka with 13 and Trent Garrett with 12. Tyler Maynard had 10.

Paradise (0-2) was led by Keaton Hickman with 26. Landy Norwood and Cash Preather each had five.

Over the weekend the Greyhounds took the Slidell Tournament winning all four games.

They ended the round-robin tournament with a win over Era, 54-35. Pietryka had 19, and Scott Bingham finished with nine. Colton Perkins tossed in six.

Slidell defeated Denton Calvary 71-37. Pietryka led the way with 18, and Garrett had 15. Bingham added 12, and Maynard tossed in 10.

The Greyhounds defeated the Alvord JV 56-12 in their second game of the tournament. Isaac Davis had 15, and Pietryka had 11.

In their opening game Slidell took down Texoma Christian 72-39. Maynard led the way with 24, and Pietryka had 14. Perkins added 10.
