Slidell swept the District 14-A cross country meet Monday. Both teams will advance to the regional meet Nov. 3 in Arlington.

The Greyhounds were led by Jarrett Tinsman with a third place finish. Khristian Talamantes took fifth and Jessie Bowen was eighth. Gracjan Pietryka captured 10th.

Colton Perkins was Slidell’s fifth runner to cross in the finish line in 12th. Heyden Crane was 13th and Dustin Davis 16th.

The Lady Hounds were led by Caitlin Pruett in third. Lacey Edge took seventh and Kylie Franklin was eighth. Caitlin Ward placed 18th. Fernanda Martinez was Slidell’s fifth runner, in 19th.

Nicol Verdugo was 21st.
