Bridgeport (8-7) dropped their game to Springtown, 50-39 Tuesday. The game was tied 19-19 at the half, but Springtown outscored the Sissies 19-5 in the third quarter to take the victory.
“We did a great job in the first half of handling the full court pressure and maintaining control of the ball,” Bridgeport coach Dallas Taylor said. “In the second half we turned the ball over and Springtown was able to take advantage. Our kids are playing hard and improving but we must learn to match our opponent’s intensity every defensive and offensive possession.”
Sabrina Garza led the way with 13 and Bailey Thompson had 12. Landrie Walsh tossed in eight and Elaina Peyton scored four.
