Sissies clip Breckenridge

The Bridgeport Sissies picked up a non-district win over Breckenridge Tuesday 25-18, 25-23, 25-22.

Bridgeport (14-13, 0-3) got great defensive play at the net from middle blockers Mariah Clayton and Sabrina Garza.

“This was a big win for the girls,” Bridgeport coach Rebekah Cummings said. “They needed to remind themselves what they are truly capable of doing. This was truly a team effort. Everyone played and contributed in some way, no matter how big or small.”

Tiffany Hawkins finished with 22 assists, nine digs and five kills. Garza had 11 kills, two blocks and two aces.

Clayton added 10 kills, six blocks and two aces. Payton Tucker recorded nine digs, an ace and three kills.
