Rowden floats three victories

Decatur sophomore Katey Rowden won three events Oct. 19-21 at the NT Division II Beat Cancer Meet in Keller.

Rowden recorded personal best times winning the 1650 freestyle in 12:28, competing in the 15 and over division. She also won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.93 and the 100 butterfly in 1:05.99.

Allie Blevins also put up personal best times in her four events. Blevins placed third in 13-14 division in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:08.92. She took seventh in the 50 freestyle in 30.02 and ninth in the 100 butterfly in 1:17.73. She took 12th in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:43.84.

Lizzy Rowden captured 19th in both the 100 freestyle and 50 butterfly, competing in the 11-12 age division. She had a time of 1:08.29 in the 100 freestyle and 37.05 in the 50 butterfly. She also placed 17th in 100 individual medley with a time of 1:21.03. All were personal best times.

Milly Rowden took third in the 10 and under 50 butterfly with a time of 37.37. She was eighth in the 100 individual medley in 1:27.82 and 16th in the 100 freestyle in 1:18.15. All were personal best times.
