Rider ends Eagles’ streak

The Wichita Falls Rider Raiders brought a quick end to the Decatur Eagles’ unbeaten streak in District 9-4A Tuesday.

The first-place Raiders shut out Decatur 10-0, handing the Eagles (1-2-1) their first setback in the league.

The loss and Gainesville’s win over Wichita Falls dropped Decatur to third place with four points.

The Eagles faced a critical game in the playoff race Friday against Burkburnett at home.

DENTON GUYER 2, NORTHWEST BOYS 0

The Denton Guyer Wildcats blanked the Northwest Texans 2-0 Tuesday.

The Texans fell to 0-8 in District 7-5A.

NORTHWEST GIRLS 1, DENTON GUYER 0

Northwest senior Maddie Wood punched home the game’s only goal in the Lady Texans’ 1-0 victory over Denton Guyer Tuesday.

Junior Rachel Riggs earned the assist on the Wood goal.
