The Bowie Jackrabbits put Paradise in a first half hole that they could not dig out of Friday night.

Bowie put up 29 unanswered points to start the game enroute to a 50-18 win over the Paradise Panthers.

Corey Brady put Bowie (6-1, 2-1) on the board less than a minute into the game with a 10-yard run to give the Jackrabbits an early 7-0 lead.

Halfway through the first quarter, Bowie would record a safety to extend their lead to 9-0.

After receiving the free kick from the Panthers (0-6, 0-2), Bowie went right to work. Bowie quarterback Richard Pellizzari found Jeremiah Cobb for a 21-yard touchdown strike, giving the Jackrabbits a 15-0 lead after a failed kick.

Bowie kept things going in the second quarter when Jay Ward scored from 21 yards out, extending the lead to 22-0. With four minutes left in the half, Tod Jackson crossed the goal line on a one-yard run and it was 29-0.

Paradise would get their lone score of the first half when Tanner Valentine found Jarrett Roper for a 15-yard touchdown pass to cut the Bowie lead to 29-6.

Pellizzari and the Jackrabbits struck first in the second half when he found Ward on a 27-yard touchdown pass. Paradise came right back when Valentine hit Corbin Holt for a 29-yard touchdown, cutting the Bowie lead to 36-12.

Brady would score both touchdowns for Bowie in the final quarter. He first hit paydirt from 28 yards giving the Jackrabbits a 43-12 lead.

Paradise’s Taylor Edwards would take it from 14 yards to get the Panthers within 43-18, but Brady would score again with just under four minutes left in the game.
