The Paradise Panthers will try to erase the memories of an opening-week blowout loss to the Grandview Zebras.

Paradise (0-1) hosts the Henrietta Bearcats (0-1) Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Panthers will have to shore up their defense after giving up four first-quarter touchdowns and 521 yards of total offense in the game.

Henrietta is coming off a 28-0 loss to the Callisburg Wildcats and will be looking for their first win of the season, too.

The Panthers should be able to put up some bigger offensive totals against a struggling Bearcat team.

They only scratched out 111 yards of total offense against Grandview and did not crack the scoreboard until Tanner Valentine found Josh McDowell for a 19-yard strike in the third quarter.

The Panthers will hope to rebound with a lot better effort because only three more pre-district games remain to get ready for the district schedule.
