Panthers claim first win

On the final week of the regular season the Paradise Panthers picked up their first victory of the year.

After trailing 19-10 at the half, the Panthers rallied in the second half for a 30-27 win.

Ponder got the scoring started with a three-yard run by Reid Sanders to take an early 7-0 lead.

Paradise came right back with a blocked punt, which was returned by Dillion Meadows for the Panthers first score. After a two point conversion, Paradise took an 8-7 lead.

Ponder answered back with a 37 yard pass for a score, but the point after attempt was fumbled and returned by Chris Hill to give the Panthers two points.

The Lions added one more score before the half on one yard touchdown run.

Paradise would score the next 20 points to put the game away.

A 32-yard run by Hill followed by a two point conversion cut the Ponder lead to 19-18 early in the third quarter.

Jarrett Roper added the next score with a three yard run, to give the Panthers a 24-19 lead.

Taylor Edwards would add the final Panther score of the night on a one-yard run to give Paradise a 30-19 lead.

Ponder added a late touchdown to climb back within three points, but Paradise was able to hold on for the victory.
