Lindsay skates by Alvord runners

The Alvord Lady Bulldogs’ cross country team captured second at the Alvord meet Saturday with 86 points. Lindsay took the top spot with 72.

Alvord was led by Clara Breashears in eighth position at 13:22. Ariel Rogers placed 13th in 13:48. Savannah Williams was 18th in 14:00. Lacey Watkins ran 14:04 for 19th. Marissa Schedcik crossed the finish line in 28th place as Alvord’s fifth runner in 14:27.

Brooklyn Mitchum took 38th in 14:57. Sarah Nichols placed 40th in 15:05.

The Alvord boys captured sixth overall with 129 points. Brock took first with 49 points.

Logan Watkins was the Bulldogs lead runner with the 27th spot in 20:32. Peytton Hooks took 36th in 21:28. Kory Maag finished 40th in 21:41. Nick Shea ran 21:58 for 44th. Andrew Nichols was Alvord’s fifth runner in 46th place at 22:06.

Heath Walker captured 51st in 22:23. Cody Newby took 66th in 24:11 and Cody Peterson was 67th at 24:20.
