The playoff-bound Paradise Lady Panthers scored a pair of runs in the eighth inning Tuesday to knock off Tolar 10-9 in their home finale.
Jett Preather and Laura Wilson worked walks and came around to score in the eighth to notch the Lady Panthers’ 19th win and move them to 11-2 in District 10-2A.
Shelby Lavigne led the Lady Panthers’ offense reaching base all four times, including two doubles, a single and a walk. She scored three runs.
Samantha Bednorz drove in three runs, going 2-for-3. Taelor Burns added two RBIs.
Wilson earned the win in her final game at Paradise. She allowed nine runs – six earned – on eight hits in seven innings of work. She struck out nine and walked two.
Tiffany Stinnett pitched one inning, striking out one.
Paradise led 7-0 after a four-run first and three more runs in the fourth.
Tolar stormed back with an eight-run fifth to take an 8-7 lead. Paradise tied the game in the bottom of the seventh as Bednorz drove in Lavigne, forcing the extra inning.
