The Slidell Lady Hounds captured second at their own tournament over the weekend. Era, Slidell and Denton Calvary all finished 3-1 and Era won the tie-breaker on points allowed.

The Lady Hounds then knocked off Olney 44-19. Ashton Stroope finished with 18, and Marisol Millan had eight.
Slidell’s lone loss came to Denton Calvary 58-50.
“We dug ourselves a hole by falling behind, 27-9,” Slidell coach Cody Vanover said. “We managed to cut it to four by the fourth, but they pulled away late. It was a very sloppy physical game.”
Pruett had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Franklin and Millan each finished with nine.
Slidell ended the tournament edging Era, 42-40. The Lady Hornets had a chance for the win, but a made 3-pointer went in after the buzzer had sounded.
