The Decatur Lady Eagle swim team captured third place at the Hebron Invite Saturday. Decatur tallied 207 points, while first place Hebron had 570 and L.D. Bell finished second with 301.
Katy Rowden had another tremendous day, placing first in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.79 and second in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.68.
She teamed with Kate Grant, Baley Phariss and Haley Dennard to take second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:14.
The group of Grant, Dennard, Rowden and Madeleine Semmelmann took first in the 200 freestyle with a time 1:54.
Dennard picked up a third place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.58. Semmelmann swam 31.02 for 13th and Phariss took 16th in 32.17. Alexis Downe was 29th in 42.83 and Raegan Williams placed 31st in 47.33
Semmelmann captured eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:09, while Downe was 22nd in 1:42 and Williams 24th in 2:05.
Grant captured first overall in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:15. She also picked up third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:14.
In the 100 breaststroke Dennard finished second in 1:23 and Phariss was eighth in 1:27.
With only four Eagles competing the Decatur boys still took 10th with 36 points. Hebron was first with 578.5.
In the 100 freestyle, Logan Huff placed sixth with a time of 57.75. Robert Davila took 14th in 1:02 and Dylan Carter was 25th in 1:25.
Huff captured eighth in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.26 and Carter took 27th in 34.50.
Davila finished ninth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:22.
