Paradise 2012 graduate Connor Berry will be featured Sunday, July 29, as sportscaster Dale Hansen’s Scholar Athlete of the Week on WFAA.

Berry, who is headed to Austin College in Sherman this fall to play basketball, is coming off a strong senior year on the court and the baseball diamond.

In basketball, Berry earned a first-team District 10-2A selection after averaging 11.7 points per game and shooting 32 percent on three-pointers. He recorded a 40-point game and had several contests with five or more treys.

On the baseball diamond, he shined with a 7-2 record on the mound with nine saves. Berry posted a 1.41 ERA in 54.2 innings and held batters to a .184 average. He won three playoff games, including two in the same day with 10 dominating innings against Krum in bi-district. Berry earned first-team 10-2A pitcher and All-Wise MVP.
