The Bridgeport Sissies fell to Glen Rose Friday, 61-49. Bridgeport (8-8) took a three point lead in the third quarter, but foul trouble and turnovers put them in a hole that they could not dig out of.
“Our ladies matched the intensity of a tough team from Glen Rose for three quarters tonight,” Bridgeport coach Dallas Taylor said. “The girls are playing hard-nosed defense and it is keeping us in ball games, but we must learn how to take better care of the basketball.”
Landrie Walsh led the way with 14 and Bailey Thompson finished with 11. Cheyenne Davidson had 10 and Sabrina Garza added seven.
