The Chico Dragons picked up their first win of the season Friday with a 59-24 thumping of Rockwall Christian.
Chico (1-1) dominated the game offensively amassing 661 yards of total offense to cruise to the victory.
Chase Long got the scoring started early with a touchdown run to give the Dragons an early 6-0 lead.
Dylan Hightower helped the Dragons get on the board again with another score in the first to extend the Chico lead to 12-0.
In the second quarter the game exploded as both teams combined to put up 51 points. It would be the only quarter Rockwall Christian would score.
Quarterback Hunter York got the quarter started with a 40-yard touchdown strike to Dylan Hightower to extend the lead to 18-0.
York threw three more touchdown passes in the quarter to answer each of the Rockwall scores.
The Dragons put things away in the second half as the defense stepped up to shut out Rockwall the rest of the way.
Matt Carter added a 24-yard touchdown halfway through the third quarter to give Chico a 45-24 lead.
The Dragons added two more scores in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
