The Alvord Lady Bulldogs picked up a district-opening win against Peaster Tuesday, 71-41.

Alvord (12-6, 1-0) took a commanding 44-19 lead at the half and cruised to the victory.

Marissa Schedcik led the way with 19, and Lauren Hart finished with 18. Ariel Rogers added 12 and Carley King tossed in 10.
