Early voting starts soon, and the citizens of Wise County will have the opportunity to help end corruption in the state legislature. It is time to take a stand for education, electoral reform and a sound economy. It is time to end special favors for special interests. It is time that politicians understand that “equality under the law” carries the connotation that it is unacceptable for those who make the law to cater to special interests.

It is time for us to support politicians who act justly, love mercy and walk humbly. It is time for us to elect leaders who will be quick to listen to the needs, interests and voices of the people.

Fellow citizens, don’t vote straight ticket; vote Matthew Britt for state representative.

  1. Again, I’m sure that Mr. Britt is a fine young man.

But Austin will chew him up, spit him out, spank his behind and send him home crying.

A 20 or 21 year old who has no life experience outside college has no business trying to legislate as a state rep.

That’s like hiring your 8 year old grandson to paint your house….

  2. You are so correct Bart. I’m sure he’s a great guy with a future in politics, but he’s not ready yet.
