I want to hear from you

My name is Matthew Britt, and I am running for state representative for District 61 (Wise and Parker Counties) against Rep. Phil King.

Having lived in District 61 my entire life, a product of both the community and schools of the area, I have a deep understanding of the values shared by local Texans. I have been a student of Decatur High School, Weatherford College, the University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas.

Texas currently has a large influence on the national curriculum, but this will not always be so if we continue to cut our education budget. I support improving our children’s education and all of those involved, from the administrators to the teachers and the parents.

However, as a Texan, I also understand the importance of transparent government, controlled by the people. In recent years, though, corruption has crept into the legislature of our great state, and it is up to us to restore it.

On my website, www.matthewbritt2012.com, I would be glad to hear from you about the issues that matter to you most. Please join me in the fight to secure our children’s future, reclaim our government and protect the well-being of our community and our families.
