DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE TO DISPLAY A PHOTO ID WHEN VOTING?
“It’s always worked without one before, and I think the way the system is, there’s not enough people to cheat to make a difference in what the numbers would be. When you get a voter’s registration card, you already have to have a Social Security number, which is the same thing you need for a driver’s license, and you don’t need a picture ID to get a driver’s license. There’s enough checks and balances as it is.”
- Don Dixon, 57, of Decatur
“I think we should, to prevent people from voting that shouldn’t be voting and to prove that the person voting is a real person.”
- Dianne Johnson, 49, of Springtown
“In order to get an ID, you’ve got to already have three forms of ID, which sucks for me because I don’t have one right now. But that’s probably a good thing because there’s nobody I’d vote for anyway right now … But I do believe, definitely, that people should have to show ID when they vote because there are so many illegals running around. You need to prove who you are before you take a vote here in the U.S.A.”
- Blake Long, 31, of Chico
“I think that we should have to have a picture ID so that we know who is voting and who’s not voting.”
- Yoelda Reyes, 33, of Bridgeport
