A woman found dead near a RV park on Eagle Mountain Lake south of Briar has been identified as Tricia Herron, 29, of Azle.

Herron was found Friday morning at West Bay Marina and RV resort. She lived at the resort, which is located in the 6900 block of Liberty School Tap Road.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner placed her time of death at 8:31 a.m., but has not released a cause of death.

A spokesperson with Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said there was no sign of trauma, but until the cause is confirmed to be from natural causes, they will continue to investigate it as a homicide.

Some people familiar with Herron told investigators she had health issues that might have played a role in her death. It can take several weeks before the medical examiner confirms the exact cause of death.
