The Paradise City Council continues to inch forward in its plans for extending water lines to city residents currently not on the system.
At a special meeting Monday, the council amended plans submitted by Dannenbaum Engineering Corp. of Fort Worth, removing nine lines already in place in hopes of trimming the $1.2 million estimated cost of the project.
The council also voted to split the project into three phases – the north section, the Old Town Road part, and work along Texas 114.
The council meets again 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at City Hall.
