From evidence recovered at the scene, investigators believe Lindsay Adams, 29, of Rhome was texting while driving southbound on U.S. 81/287, just north of Farm Road 407, north of Rhome.
Witnesses say Adams left the roadway and hit a culvert, causing her to flip the small Ford pickup she was driving at least six times before it came to a rest on its side in the bar ditch.
Adams was flown from the scene to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with non-life threatening injuries. Scanner reports indicated Adams was unconscious, but she regained consciousness as she was being transported.
She has since been released.
An off-duty deputy and nurse and uniformed soldier and other witnesses assisted Adams until first responders arrived.
No one else was injured.
