FALL FESTIVAL AT CARE – The 2nd Annual Fall Festival at the Center for Animal Research and Education (CARE) is Oct. 27 and 28 and Nov. 3 and 4. Tours will start at noon and 3 p.m. each day. Visitors are invited to come out an hour earlier to participate in games, arts and crafts, refreshments, treats and a raffle. During the tour, visitors will be able to give presents and treats to the animals. The center asks for a $20 donation for adults and $10 for children under 12. Raffle tickets are $5 each. CANDLELIGHT VIGIL – A candlelight vigil in honor of domestic violence victims and survivors is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Harwood Park in Bridgeport. GOLF TOURNAMENT – The 3rd Annual DHS Golf Booster Club Tournament is Saturday, Oct. 27, at The Resort Golf Club at Eagle Mountain Lake. HISTORICAL SOCIETY – The Wise County Historical Society meets noon Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Wise County Heritage Museum. Penny Nixon with Texas Parks and Wildlife will speak on how to recognize antiquities in items of nature.

The calendars feature artwork from local special needs individuals, and all funds raised will go to build a Miracle League baseball field to accommodate all players regardless of disability.
ZUMBA FUNDRAISER – Wise County Special Needs Baseball is hosting a zumba fitness Dance for the Field Halloween fundraiser 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Decatur ISD Multipurpose Building, 1201 W.
