Driver recovers after wreck

Joshua Garvin, 32, of Alvord was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth after suffering serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning on Farm Road 1810 near Chico.

Friday morning, Garvin was in “good condition” at JPS.

The accident was reported by a passerby at 1:13 a.m.

Garvin was westbound on FM 1810 in a Ford F-250. His truck left the roadway, ran through a bar ditch and crashed into the fence and rock entrance way of the Hanson plant a mile east of Texas 101.

Garvin was taken by ambulance to Chico High School to meet the Life-Team 68 helicopter.
