In a brief meeting Monday, the Northwest School Board held a public hearing on the district’s superior achievement rating in the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) and approved the district improvement plan.

In the consent agenda, the board approved:

• the minutes of the Sept. 10 and 24 meetings,
• Pogue Construction Co. as construction manager at-risk,
• joint election agreements with Wise, Denton and Tarrant counties,
• the concussion oversight team of Dr. Jason Wander; Dr. Eric Stehly and Dr. Kerry Donegon of North Texas Orthopedics Sports Medicine; Doug Barnes and Megan Gorman, ahletic trainers at Byron Nelson High School; and Scott Fletcher and Stan Evertson athletic trainers at Northwest High School.
