James and Mary Craft

James and Mary Craft of Decatur celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their children and grandchildren at their home.

James Craft and the former Mary North were married Aug. 10, 1962, at Lone Star Baptist Church in Chico.

The couple has three children: Tammy Mathews and husband, Wade, of Alvord, Brent Craft and wife, Laura, of North Richland Hills, and Scott Craft and wife, Margaret; and two grandsons, Chris Craft and Walter Craft, both of Alvord.

James is retired from TxDOT and is a part-time employee of the Wise County Messenger. He is a member of the masonic lodge in Decatur.

Mary is employed by Karl Klement Ford. She is a member of the Decatur chapter of Eastern Star.

They are members of First Baptist Church in Decatur.
