Debra Young of Decatur announces the birth of a daughter, Ruth, on Sept. 14, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 18 inches long.

Grandparents are Pam and Kenny Russell.

Great-grandparents are Pam and Bobby Russell and Ted and Helen Young.
