Jeffery Cook Jr. and Noel Herlitz of Bowie announce the birth of a son, Leon Kenneth Cook, on Dec. 1, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. He weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.

He has one sister, Lola Roberts, 3.

Grandparents are Stacy and Robert Ratsch of Mather, Calif., and Jody and Robert Phillips.
