Bobby and Shellie Hale of Krum announce the birth of a son, Jacob Carroll, on Sept. 22, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.

He has one brother: Michael, 9.

Grandparents are Jack and Vonya Placek of Decatur, Ronnie Hale Sr. of Benjamin and Mitzie Harris of Krum.

Great-grandparents are Shirley Foster of Decatur, Virginia Wortman of Krum and Bobby and Anita Hale of Sanger.
