Nicki Wood and Justin Genova of Decatur announce the birth of a son, Creek Phillip Genova, on Aug. 17, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.

Grandparents are Raymond and Pam Wood of Decatur and Lisa Genova of Denton.

Great-grandparents are James and Shirley Wood of Decatur and Jean Hembree of Denton.
