Blake Doty and Aarrialle Postell of Alvord announce the birth of a son, Brooks Allen Doty, on Nov. 8, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. He weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Grandparents are James and Becky Postell of Alvin, and Stacy and Bob Dunn and Lisa Peyton, all of Alvord.

Great-grandparents are Larry and Sammye Short and Faye Broyles.
