Russell and Jenny Read of Decatur announce the birth of a daughter, Allie Kate, on Oct. 2, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and was 19 inches long.

She has two brothers: Jacoby Read, 8; and Blake Read, 5.

Grandparents are Bud and Shiela Read, Donna Currie, Bill and Donna Jenkins and Tamre Read.

Great-grandparents are Bill and Bobbie Read, Barbara Orozco and Floyd Osborne.
