Karen Sanchez and Alfredo Chavarria of Rhome announce the birth of a son, Alex Eduardo Chavarria on July 28, 2012, at Wise Regional Health System in Decatur. He weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Grandparents are Maria Hudgins and Charles Hudgins.

Great-grandparents are Helen White, Consuelo Zendegas, Juanna Chavarria, Francisco Zendegas and Julio Chavarria.
