Weatherford College Workforce and Continuing Education Department had a full house at its spring graduation ceremony held earlier this summer in the Alkek Fine Arts Center in Weatherford.

Sixty students from the certified nurse aide, dental assistant, medication aide, medical assistant and pharmacy technician programs received certificates of completion.

Janetta Kruse, director of Workforce and Continuing Education, welcomed the large crowd of friends and families of the graduates and stated that it was the largest graduation to date. She also thanked families for their support of the students.

Allison Taylor, certified nurse aide instructor, recognized two classes, one of which consisted of 11 health science technology students from Weatherford High School. One hundred percent of the Spring nurse aide students passed the clinical part of the state CNA exam.

The department is gearing up for its fall programs. Registration for fall 2012 healthcare programs is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the Alkek Center.
