LIVE BROADCASTS FROM NISD GAMES – Cheer on your Northwest High School Texans from anywhere in the world on the Sportsgram Network. All NISD football games will be broadcast live at www.sportsgram.net and can be heard on mobile devices, iPads, computers and laptops.

ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE? – Register to vote in the upcoming bond election, at www.votexas.org/register_to_vote.html, at least 30 days prior to the Nov. 6 election.

Early voting begins Oct. 22.

The board of trustees called a $255 million capital bond referendum to address the district’s continuing student population growth, expected to increase by 35 percent in the next five years.

PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST WEST NILE VIRUS – NISD families may apply insect repellant to students prior to school and prior to after-school or evening activities. State law and district policy prohibit students from bringing insect repellent on school grounds.

VOLUNTEERS BACKGROUND CHECK ONLINE – Parents and other volunteers who plan to work with children in NISD schools must have passed a criminal background check. It is available at www.nisdtx.org/volunteercheck.

SEPTEMBER BOARD MEETINGS – The Northwest ISD school board meets 7 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 10 and 24, at the Administration Building (2001 Texan Drive in Fort Worth).

UNITE FOR FUTURES RALLY IN NISD – Learn how to become more involved in the school district with the Unite for Futures Rally 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Administration Building.
