UNITE FOR FUTURES RALLY IN NISD – Learn how to become more involved in the school district with the Unite for Futures Rally 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Administration Building.

The Partners in Education program will share ways to work with the district to ensure students have the resources they need to be successful in a global society.

SEPTEMBER BOARD MEETING – The Northwest ISD school board meets 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the Administration Building (2001 Texan Drive in Fort Worth).

ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE? – Register to vote in the upcoming bond election, at, at least 30 days prior to the Nov. 6 election.

Early voting begins Oct. 22.

The board of trustees called a $255 million capital bond referendum to address the district’s continuing student population growth, expected to increase by 35 percent in the next five years.

PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST WEST NILE VIRUS – NISD families may apply insect repellant to students prior to school and prior to after-school or evening activities. State law and district policy prohibit students from bringing insect repellent on school grounds.
