Several Wise County residents were named to the Distinguished Students List at Tarleton State University in Stephenville for the spring semester.
They include:
- Hayden Eubanks (criminal justice) and Tyler Raley (ag services and development) of Chico;
- Nicholas Pike (kinesiology), Candace Rose (biology) and Chris Stinnitt (ag services and development) of Paradise;
- Cara Haines (pre-nursing) of Newark;
- Justin Green (ag services and development), Jessica Hartsell (interdisciplinary studies), Jennifer Halbert (interdisciplinary studies), Lindsey Guinn (interdisciplinary studies) and Jessica Richards (ag services and development) of Bridgeport;
- Colton Nolen (wildlife management) and Glen Bridgewaters (exercise and sport studies) of Decatur;
- Leslie Hampton (interdisciplinary studies) of Alvord;
- Malisa Lewis (interdisciplinary studies) of Rhome;
- Meagan Holloway (psychology), Sarah Galloway (ag services and development) and Allie Galloway (criminal justice) of Boyd.
To make the list, freshmen and sophomores must earn a minimum 3.25 grade-point ratio and juniors and seniors a minimum 3.5, with no grade lower than a C and must be in good standing with the university.
