Wanda Gayle Garrett

Wanda Gayle Garrett, 71, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Decatur.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at West Bridgeport Cemetery with the Rev. David Rucker officiating.

Gayle was born May 6, 1941, to James and Mary (Collvins) Donley in Wichita Falls. She married Johnny Clarence Garrett Jan. 29, 1960, in Bridgeport. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport, Gayle was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny; and her brother, Jimmy Donley.

Survivors include her son, Kelly Garrett and wife, D’Anna, of Lake Bridgeport; her daughters, Kim Holt of Lake Bridgeport, Karen St. John and husband, Teddy, of Sunset; her grandchildren, Nicole Jordon and husband, Cason, Jason Garrett, Richard Craig and wife, Megan, Danny Tolliver and Melanie, Colton St. John and wife, Shalee, Kirsten Fields, Aaron Holt and wife, Crystal; great-grandchildren Gabe, Alina, Riggin and Hunter; brother David Donley of Bowie; sister, Mary Beth Hale of Grapevine; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
