Funeral for Virginia Hearne, 80, of the Crims Chapel community is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at First Baptist Church of Crims Chapel with the Revs. James Latham and Tommy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Crims Chapel Cemetery.
Hearne died Friday, July 20, 2012, in Parker County.
Born July 1, 1932, in Decatur to J.T. and Alice Jobe Sherman, she was a homemaker. She moved with her husband, D.M. “Dewey” Hearne, to Fort Worth in 1951. They moved back to Rusk County when he retired from the U.S. Army and Civil Service in 1985. He died in 2010.
She is survived by sons Ricky Hearne and wife, Debbie, of Weatherford and Rusty Hearne and wife, Marla, of Titusville, Fla.; grandchildren Chris Hearne and wife, Sarah, of Henderson, Chad Hearne and wife, Liz, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jason Hearne, Kayla Hearne and Dylan Hearne of Fort Worth, Shari Hearne Spolar and husband, Keith, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Stacy Hearne Jackson and husband, Jonathan, of Colorado Springs; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Chris Hearne, Keith Spolar, Jonathan Jackson, Dylan Hearne, Chad Hearne, Jason Hearne, Charles Dean Jobe and Chuck Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Erskine Watson, Bill Thompson and James Christian.
