Shirley D. Kennemer

Memorial service for Shirley Diane Kennemer, 72, of Fort Worth is 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Leonard Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.

Kennemer died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, in Fort Worth.

Born Sept. 27, 1939, to Roscoe Phillips and Opal Phillips, she married Charles Kennemer in 1955. After she raised her family, she became a certified public accountant. Kennemer established an accounting and tax-preparation business and had clients in Wise County. She retired in 2010.

In 1989, she remarried, learned to ski and went on ski trips.

Kennemer was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Eugene Ruppert.

She is survived by sons Darrell Kennemer and wife, Donna, and Mike Kennemer and wife, Debbie; daughter Diane Bland and husband, Brad; grandchildren Lindsey Boyle, Aaron Kennemer, Mack Kennemer, Holly Haralson, Ryan Bland and Ty Gaarz; great-grandchildren Haylee Boyle, Lily Boyle, Chloe Boyle and Callie Haralson; and sister Priscilla Pearson.
